Reassigning the Default Printer?
Bought a New Printer to Replace worn out or faulty printer device.?
UniRes now detects if the DEFAULT PRINTER has been changed and adjusts reports automatically when UniRes is restarted, so the new printer works with UniRes.
Unless you have issues with printing, it will be less down time with printer replacement and it should not be necessary to call support.
Note that only the new default printer NAME is reassigned. The Print orientation etc. is not affected, so everything should work as before. Including and Receipt Printer Forms.
Previously, you would have to run the REPORTS program ... Administrator TAB and select "Set All reports to the Default Printer" to reassign the printer (or changed printer name) . A quick way, but who remembers where to find the facility?
Still, if you have issues or adjustment are required, just check the report form printer settings manually.
