Validate Bookings

To start: Menu Bar - Utilities - File System Utilities - Validate Bookings.

If you are worried about the integrity of your booking ledger or have had a problem with an overlapping booking, run the Validate bookings utility.

This utility scans your current booking ledger, checking for overlapping bookings (double bookings).

Multi-user note: All other workstations running UniRes should be logged out where possible to avoid delays.

Click the Validate Now button to start the program.

If a double booking is found, a message will appear on the screen ...

To continue checking, click Yes.

Note that two warnings are given for each double booking found eg. WESTON against ROBERTS then one for ROBERTS against WESTON as in the example shown above.

The Booking Conflicts are written into the Activity Log file (activity.txt).

To view the conflicting bookings in the Activity Log file...

Select from the Menu Bar - View - Activity Log Viewer. Then scroll to the end of the file.

Fixing a Double Booking

To fix double bookings - move one of the offending bookings to a free site using the Move-a-Booking facility in the Charges program .
