View Backup Log (History)

Select from the Menu Bar – Utility – File System Utilities - View Backup Log or access the Viewer from the Backup or Restore program.

When making backups with the UniRes Backup facility, the history of your activity is recorded in the backuplog.log file. This is a text file and can be opened with other text editors and wordprocessors.

The Date and time of the activity is recorded together with the full path and name of the backup file. The file names are coded with ..

The completion status of the backup is also recorded.

To Close the Log file, select File – Close from the top menu bar or click on the close control at the top right of the View window.

You can print the log file by selecting File – Print from the top menu bar.

Restore and Test operations are also recorded in the Backuplog.log file.
