To access Browse Bookings, select it from the Command Centre - Administration TAB, then the button with the same name.
The Browse Bookings program is for more experienced UniRes users. It allows access to Booking and transaction data directly. Not all fields are available, only the "safe" ones to edit.
If you are on a multi-user UniRes system....
•You should be the only user using UniRes.
•Changes are made immediately on file.
This window is in two parts.
The top part shows a list of bookings in the current or history data file and the lower list shows the transactions for each booking to traverse in the top list.
Use the keyboard navigation keys to move around the top list.
Under the top list is an index bar. Just click in the letter corresponding to the first letter of the Surname to find. The list will reposition and you can use the Page Down ley to find a booking of interest.
The horizontal slider bar under each list will reveal more detail. Some of the white areas in the top list can be edited directly by the user and the changes are updated immediately on file.
Order By
You can change the display order of the top list - select by Site to see the list in Site order or select Surname to see the list in alphabetical order.
To go to the charges program immediately for a selected item either ..
•Double click on the Site field for a selected booking or ..
•Highlight the selected booking and click on the Charges Button
Select History
To see bookings in the History File (Archived Bookings and Transactions), click on the Select History Button.
The window background colour will change to a shade of red to remind you are looking at history.
Recall from Archive
This button is only available when you are looking at the Archived Bookings. To recall a booking from the archive (history) file …
Highlight the booking in the top list and click on Recall from Archive button.
You will see a message box asking you to confirm the recall.. Answer yes.
The booking is placed in the current bookings file (together with all its past transactions). The screen changes colour to remind you that the current bookings file is selected.
You have completed the recall and if you wish, click on the Charges button to work with the booking.
The Maintenance Button
This is a special button, which allows full access to the data files. For security reasons , only support services should have access to this facility.
