Restoring your Company

Parent Previous Next

If you are having unresolved problems with your UniRes program, you may need to Restore your Company Data files from a recent backup.

Things to note about doing a restore.

1.Always call your UniRes Support centre before you do a restore. There may be another solution.

1.Make a complete Hard Disk Copy of your UniRes installation before restoring data as a precaution. You will then have a copy of UniRes before restoring, in case the restore process fails mid-stream.

2.Test the Backup before doing a restore with the test facility provided in the restore program. This will make sure the backup archive is readable.

3.The restore process will copy the backed-up files back to the same folder they were zipped from. eg. c:\cpbs\data .

4.The UniRes program will close after doing a restore, so you will need to restart UniRes.

5.All other users using UniRes in a multi-user UniRes system must be out of UniRes before doing a restore.

6.You will have to re-enter transactions and make bookings etc to catch-up to the current state of your park.
