Periodic Maintenance - Optomise Bookings



Optomise Bookings,  moves the checked out bookings to history files under the computer managers direction. Periodic maintenance should be performed at least weekly.


Select from the Top Menu Bar, Periodic Maintenance, then select Optomise Bookings.


Click on the  button or Close to go back to the previous screen.


What happens?

The sample screen explains what happens and why.

The only thing you will notice is that the Booking ledger will not show checked-out bookings in grey before the "move bookings ..." date you select.

The default is two weeks prior to todays date, but you can seelct an earlier date if you want to see more pas bookings.

REMEMBER that the booking legder is a tool to work visually with bookings on a linear calendar and past bookings are

fairly irrelevant.




If you find the Optomize date inconvenient, you can always reverse the optomisation by using the Auto Recall  facility in the same Menu as before.


Note that UniRes always allows you to find any booking, current or history when using the Search Options screen and when selecting a booking from the search list, it is automatically recalled into current, transparently to the user.


Both Current and History files are always used in the reporting section of UniRes.
