Other Group Booking Buttons and Information

Screen Counters Values

The Availability Window will display some useful values to help you make a Group Booking.

Total Sites: This shows the number of Available sites shown in the Available sites list.

Pre-select Count: Shows the number of sites you have chosen to move to the Selected Sites List before you move (select) the sites. Selected sites are shown in blue.

The Single/Group Button: This button will "toggle" the available sites window between  "Single Booking Mode" and "Group Booking Mode". If you started the Booking process as a Group Booking, the button will show the word "Single" otherwise you will see the word "Group". As you can see, you can change the "status" of the booking at any time in the booking process before a booking/s is/are made. This also works if you started a Single Booking and decide you want to make a Group Booking at this stage of making a booking.

The Ok Button: Click to save the selected sites and go on to the next step in the booking process.

Automatic Site Selection

The Available Positions List - Group Bookings, can automatically determine the number of sites required to "fill" the Selected Sites list with enough sites for the quantity of adults + children booked.

Sites are selected automatically, starting from the top of the Available Positions List.

You can use a combination of Manual Site Selection and Automatic Selection.

The Group Leader Site will always be the first site selected.

The Preselect Now Options area

The Preselect options area should be read like a "conditions line"

Eg. Preselect X sites for X  persons based on <this or that> given X number of average persons per site. The Pre-Select value is displayed after the Preselect Now button is clicked. You select the values and options and then click on Preselect Now.

The Pre-Select Value

This value shows the number of preselected sites. UniRes takes into account the number of sites you may have already selected as shown in the Selected Sites list.

The Sites For … Value

The number of persons being "Booked" as entered in the previous Main Booking screen (Adults+children) is shown here. You can change the value by using the spinner control (click on the up/down arrows to change the value) or just enter in a new value.

The persons, based on … Options List

You can base the pre selection on the Site Capacity as defined in the Site Numbering file (See File Maintenance - Site Numbering Maintenance) or you can base the calculation on the average number of persons to occupy a site.

If you base the per selection on the Average persons per site, UniRes will use the value you set in the next field called Average Psns per site.

After the sites are preselected, click on the {bmc 45.bmp}  icon to move the preselected sites to the Selected Sites list. Then click on the OK button.

The Average Psns per site … Value

If you base the reselection of sites on the Site Capacity, the displayed value shows the average number of persons per site, otherwise you can use this field to set the average you require if the calculation is based on this value.

The Selected Sites "Total Sites" value

The Total Sites value under the Selected Sites list shows how many sites you have selected to book.

Area Pooling

If a large area like a camp ground needs to be managed for capacity, but individual site boundaries are not enforced, a number of sites can be created for the area using the Site Types Maintenance program.

Give the area a TYPE code and the Site Numbering Maintenance program can be used to create enough sites based on you calculation or estimate. Set the number of persons per site to allow the Group Bookings program to preselect sites based on booking requirements.
